my flufal spews white particles

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've had it for a while on my eheim. All you have to do is fix the O-ring. If it's not that, I have no Idea. The O-ring adjustment worked for me so that's what I think it is.

I think it may be debris in the intake/outlet hoses. Mine did that once, because the tubes were full of crap. Try squeezing the tube and if more white particles come out then thats your problem. Just detach the hoses and clean them with a piece of cloth or whatever u can pull through the whole length.

Yep. i think that's slime building-up on the inside of your hoses. I had that last week. I cleaned it with a small sponge attached by a rubber band to the tip of an insulated wire.

Ive only had my system for about a month. every thing is new I've cleaned it out 2 times and checked the hoses they are completly clear. I'm still baffled

My system is 1 month old. I have cleaned it out 2 times and checked the hoses they are clear. its not sand because the intake is 4 inches off the bottom. I',m baffled

its probably crap from the media you put in there. Did you rinse it out good enough? You said you have ceramic media, thats probably where its coming from. I have ceramic bio rings and I know I had to rinse those off a few times before I could put them into my Fluval baskets. Sometimes a few of the ceramic products get crushed during shipping and leave small particles at the bottom of the bag. Did you seperate the good from the damaged before you put them into your filter or did you dump the whole bag in?

Are you sure its only coming from your outtake? If not it could also be protein film from your waters surface just breaking up and free floating. I have had that problem before as well.

Just do a lot of big water changes and eventually you will get it out.

Id say its just minute particulate from the Media your using, I used to get the same thing when I used Ammo-carb an other white media.
