My folks pond, it gets weirder...

Ok, from the last thread about the duck and ducklings....:

....we thought it was all over after the ducklings left. Two weeks ago I got this photo and having talked to my folks today, these two have now nested and laid 5 eggs:

I bet the small statue in the bottom right of the picture has something to do with it.

I have ducks fly over my yard all the time but they don't stop. I think it has to do with two reason, there is a larger body of water near by and there are no decoys set up to make them think it is safe.

I have two cats but they are indoors during the day time while I am at work. There are parts of my yard that would be a duck haven if they landed. I'm glad they havent because I am pretty sure duck crap in the pond would quickly nuke my water clarity.
