Just thought I'd post some pics of my JD, it seems because they're so common I've just never taken the time to post many pics devoted to it. I picked it up from Wetspotx about a year and a half ago. It's 6.5" in my 230 gallon. The last pic is an Istlanum (Green Variety) picked up from Ruckfules when it just a fry. It's about 4.5" in my 260 gallon. Anyway, I hope you enjoy.

Looks good. I agree that JDs don't get enough credit. Mine is in a tank by himself because he would punk every other fish that I put in the tank out. He's a brick excrement house, to say the least.

I used to have a really nice one... about 8" or so. I wish I kept him. I agree about never really taking the time to snap a few shots... I never did either. Yours is a very nice JD... congrats.

Braz Walker said in his book one of the most breathtakingly beautiful of tropical freshwater fishes and i can see why looking at your jack Dempsey.

Thanks vfrstephen, much appreciated. I have to tell you, man those Bahia Red Oscars of yours are awesome, where did you get them????

Thanks i got them from my l.f.s here in Melbourne. One of them was attacked by a breeding pair of convicts at the l.f.s and one of his pectoral fins have been very badly damged, i just hope he regrows it 100%.
