My friend is having a baby Leo emerency!!

My friend just called me up with a question about his baby Leo Gecko. Apparently it had a bad shed and he never soaked it, and the Leo had a stuck-on shed on its toe. He said the shed is gone but the toe has now turned red and black :eek:

Help help help
 
the toe will fall off. it is common with these guys. just have him soak it next time so that it doesn't happen again.
 
Yeah, it will be fine. Lots of leos are missing a few toes here and there, not a big deal.
 
Make sure no infection sets in and it should be fine.
 
Agreed, they often have bad sheds a will lose a few toes in the process. As long as it doesn't look like its going to be infected, his baby leo will be fine.
You can also use shed-ease in their water when they soak, which will help it come off properly.
 
^^I usually do that (actually my Leo never has bad sheds) but he told me the shed was there for a week or two before it fell off and the toe got messed up...
