Ok so my girlfriend works at my LFS so i am always in there, anyhow another girl that works there told me yesterday that she was close to buying a stingray!? As far as i know she does not have a very large tank, maybe a few 50 gallons or maybe a 100 gallon? Anyhow she told me how she was really close to buying one, i said that wow i thought they were hard to maintain . Apperently the employ at Big Al's told here they were easy to keep just aggressive, thats not true at all right?

Actually with the proper tank, filtering and water changes they are very easy to keep. It's just that most people don't relize how much waste they produce and then there water quality falls apart and causes problems. As far as being aggresive, no they are very docile but can sometimes eat anything the same width as there disk.

Depends on the ray, they can be easy and hard. They can be fricky eaters, but they are not aggressive. She should do here research. 55gl tank equals fail, 100gl will only be okay for a growout. Filtration is ery important.

Ok i didn't think they were aggressive and i was even thinking 100 would be to small with water changes, What would be an optimum tank for a full grown, (sorry don't know the breed) thanks guys i will tell her to reference this site if she is considering buying is :S
