My Friends Koi Pond Around 9,000Gallon! (load warning)

this is my friends Wayne's Koi Pond he built it all himself hes been keeping up with koi for around 10 years now but he doesnt even know exactly how many gallons but from what he figures its around 9,000. but i thought everyone would like this!

and i also wanted to put theres some japanese and some not and theres mix between butterflys and regular and he has some around and a few over 4ft in length.


I added this for him to see what kind of responses he would get from the (V)FK community!!

no not today hes trying to get them to lay some eggs right now so he doesnt want to stress them out!! but in a week or two i will update with some pics of bunch of koi..

tell him to try and do some artifical breeding. one year i took some females and squeezed the eggs in the shallow parts of the pond. i then took some males and squeezed out the love juice over the eggs. a few weeks later, voila, baby koi! they are over 12" now, some turned out pretty cool.

i try not to let them spawn naturally as the males can really beat up the females, sometimes even killing them

haha yeah thats me. my gf and her parents thought i was a friggin nut job for what i was doing. they shut up real quick when they saw the little wrigglers a few weeks later hahah. it was the first time that any babies actually hatched/survived

this is really a great koi pond..looks beautiful too... nice that everything is kept so nice and neat... those koi are gorgeous
