my frontosa is crazy help!

i have a 3 1/2 in. frontosa that is diggin so much that it ruins the tank. he has his own terracotta clay pot that he and a pleco share and he has two platic plants, and i have about 2 or 3 inches of pebbles in the tank 40 gallon btw. and i will wake up and allll the pebbles will be taken out of the pot and about a 2 inch radius around the pot.... no pebbles. all on the outskirts of the tank making a 4 to 5 inch wall around his corner of the tank. i think its funny and entertaining however it has become very annoying.
i want him to be happy
but i also want him to not dig so much
any ideas?

i have a 225 front tank it seem they like to digg up the gravel in the tank and put it one corner. i guess its normal. try bare bottom

Try pool filter sand. It's cheap and when they dig it just falls back in place.

he is just establishing his territory or should i say her my girls seem to be the ones that dig to most must be funny when you fix and by morning she has it the way she likes it

The worst offender in my tanks as far as digging goes is my WC Rotkeil.
