Here is my frontosa colony.... it does exist...

12 f1 kigs
3 synos (2 were not by choice - my mom broke down her tank and I ended up with them)

Tank has been doing well, and has a nice equilibrium, though I am waiting to see if its going to get messed up now that I added those two catfish...

I have had these fronts from .5-.75 inch range and have had them for about 4 years now (I have had my first syno cat for even longer - prob. 6 year range!). They have bred for me several times. I really enjoy these fish. I kind want to add in different tank mates and maybe sell off some fronts now but I am not sure if I can part with any of them lol. I don't want to just add as I feel like my tank is maxed at this point. I am hoping to get more rocks from the nursery down the road soonish and collecting the plumbing I need to set up the new filtration system - I have two ocean clear canisters and a mag drive along with some other stuff for it ( I never got to build it after getting all the parts over a year ago b/c I kept moving- I finally have a more permanent situation) :)

Anyways just wanted to share, its been a long time since I've posted my fish or really talked about any of my tanks...

Nice looking colony you got there.. recently got a syno myself to throw in with my fronts and they seem to getting on just fine. How long did it take your fronts to reach a decent size? I got some young 1" ones a few months ago & they seem to be growing so slow. Want to put them in with my big guys but would like them to get a little bigger first.

Yea my synos have gotten along with the fronts fine, I've just had problems in the past with them not liking eachother. They do grow slow, mine grew slow too. It took them a little over a year to hit the 6inch mark and about 2 years for the largest ones to get their current size.
