Getting thick and loves to eat out of my hand now. Just wanted to share some cool shots of him tonight. He is on the hunt. I need to find him a brackish/salt tank soon though, but he is still doing great so far.

I was going to ask how it is doing in fresh, but you covered that. It looks great. I agree get a salt tank soon, but looking good now! Great job keeping it in fresh to that size.

Thanks! He is eating very well anything that goes to the bottom of the tank. After he eats he hides away in his holes...then pops his head out when he is hungry. He also eats sinking carnivore pellets by Hikari.

I am beginning to wonder how to acclimate him into a salt water set-up? Anyone know the safest method for its health? I am not sure I want him to go yet I enjoy having it, but if he needs it I will.

And lastly how big do they get?

I kept a pair in a brackish tank for a lot of years and I loved them. Your pictures bring back fond memories. You need to be careful about hand feeding them however because even though they have great personalities and even better dispositions they have deplorable eyesight. (pictures of the scars available on request.) LOL

LOL I know I have heard the horror stories. They have a wicked bite and when they grab they twist OUCH! Woudn't mind seeing the pics though LOL

I drop it right before he grabs though to be safe.

LOL I think I'll pass on pictures of my scars...My main problem was that while I was feeding one of them the other would smell the fish and blindside me. Why is it they almost always hit the dangling pinky finger?

damn man nice tank
