My gar is a punk

So I started to really try getting my gar to eat pellets yesterday. No luck at all yesterday. So today I come up with a plan to attach a pellet to a piece of krill and sneak some of that good nutrition in. Well tonight I took a piece of krill and got a spek of mayo (I know that can't be good, but it was seriously only a spek so don't hate), and then stuck ONE pellet to the piece of krill. I bate him over and drop the krill in and he eats it. So I start doing a victory dance thinking I outsmarted him, then I stop and look at him, and watch him spit out ONLY the pellet. WTF?! The pellet was stuck! He's a punk! Lol. How else could I trick him into eating a pellet?! Lol
 
well, my gar just straight up taking pellet cuz I keep him with the koi and feed only pellet for a month!
 
Use frozen krill, defrost it and soak the pellets in the water for a good 10 mins or so until they get softer but not mushy and toss it in. I also had better luck with hikkari pellets as they where softer in general then the NLS mine now eat. I also just had patience... i kept them hungry but not starved and after awhile they would try the pellets, at first they spat them.. but then once 1 started eating them the rest quickly followed suit. just remove any uneaten pellets the next day.
