my gar try to swallow earth eater.

after few months they swim together in the same tank..my gar never show any interest for lil' earth eater..but suddenly gars strike and kill and try to swallow him...sigh..

gars and smaller fish dont usually mix well it looks like a gator in the video they are the most aggressive of all the gars.

yeah definitely they are predators. few months back when they were babies, nothing happened in my tank but today they grow bigger than others and start to kill my small fishes..this pity earth eater is a 5th victim..1st and 2nd were my 5" tor tambroides, 3rd was my lil' 4" green terror, 4th was 7" shovelnose cat. i have secure 3 polyps put them in hospital tank for a while. right now im worry for my 5" NTT datnoid. hopefully he keep hiding in his cave.

Given some of the other fishes sizes I'm surprised you haven't had more losses to the gator gars. You should address the tankmates issues that you have or you will have more dead fish.
