I have four Goby Cichlids who have recently made some fry/juveniles. I have an 80 gallon Tanganyikan setup and its pretty dense with driftwood, rocks etc. Thus, I did not notice until yesterday when I was cleaning the tank and moving some rocks around that there were some juvenile Gobys! I am really excited about this and was looking for some advice. I have an extra empty 10 gallon tank and a hang on filter that's rated for 50 gallons (probably too much for the little tank) at my disposal. I think the best idea is to extract them and put them into the 10 gallon for the time being until the get to a reasonable size to put back in the 80 gallon. However, I am curious as to what kind of filtration to use?; do I need substrate/aquascaping?; a heater is obviously needed; what to feed the little guys?; and any other tips, suggestions or ideas I can get from you awesome people would be greatly appreciated!..as I am trying to tackle this little project after work tomorrow.
PS I attached a picture of my setup just to spice up the post
Thanks in advance!
