This is my main fish. My first one tha I got when I came back to cali.. I've owned him for a year now. Got him in may 06. He got the most beautiful scales I've ever seen on a cichlid.

oh man. Youguys are so kind..

You just gotta look for what you want and not just get one right away when you see it..

I searched city to city before I picked up this one.. He was the cheapest and smallest and worth getting of all the ones I saw.. None of the ones I saw had beautiful shiny scales like he does. I was not into FH forums or anything. I just searched all the lfs and look at their fish.. I traded my bearded dragon and terrarium and $50 for him.. I did not have money to buy a FH..

I loved him when he was small. He was extremly beautiful with his flower markings..

It was quite a feeling to have owned him.. Now he's big and he looks so different.. Not the same feeling anymore.. What I used to love most about him was the black spots on the sides of his head.. They were perfectly clean outlined circles.. As he grew, the perfect outline kind of broke off. And he always had the gleamy shiny body that reflects from the sun so beautifully.
