My green spotted puffer is sick and I’m not sure what it is

Just recently bought this green spotted puffer about a day after he started showing what looked like finrot to me so I treated with melafix but his sickness moved from his fins and now he has a giant white spot on him please help I have no idea what this is or how to treat it

I’m pretty sure it isn’t ich I’ve never seen ich do this before not really a bunch of tiny white dots I’m thinking maybe a fungus but I have no clue.

Looks like fin and body rot. Is it in braking water? How big is the puffer? What’s ur water parameters?

He’s about 2 inches I’m transitioning him to brackish right now he was in fresh where I got him parameters are 78 degrees Fahrenheit ph 7.4 ammonia and nitrites read 0 along with nitrates but my master test kit never shows nitrates for some reason.

I just got api Pima fix and I have melafix already but that wasn’t helping do you think the anti fungus will help?

It won’t help. Id do some large water changes and add some salt back. I’d try some erythromycin and api fungus cure and recheck ur nitrates.

Not saying you didn’t do it, buy make sure you shake the crap out of those bottles from the API kit before adding the liquid to the tubes as it can make a difference to the results...
