Im stumped as to what happened to her, she was perfectly healthy before I left for class (or atleast he appeared so) ate fine, was plenty white (as I know black is a sign of illness). I havent had a chance to test the water as I dont have a kit currently, but I was gone 1 hour for class came back and hes dead on the bottom!!! I put her in a bucket to try to resuscitate her, she twitched a bit, I ran to get some melafix, by the time I got back she showed no signs of life. SHe looked healthy even after death, Ive never had a fish die so randomly and so quick with no signs of stress. She was in a tank alone with an apple snail. I dont understand, just curious as to what are your thoughts, probably something to do with the water (I dont know what or how as I maintain it quite well) or maybe it was just sudden fish death syndrome. Nothing I can do now, Im just really upset I love mrs. Puff. I had her for about 3 months and she was eating out of my hand.
