Wow that was really difficult to read... ANYWAY...

I have two GT's, 1 female and 1 male. Are you keeping up with your water changes? Poor water quality can lead to this problem. Feed them a varied diet with one staple item like flakes or pellets. That should help.

Trying to interpret, here. You moved your GT into a small tank and it became stressed so it turned dark. Now you moved it again but it's still dark from stress. Try to find out if something is scaring him or bullying him.

What are your parameters?
ammonia=
nitrIte=
nitrAte=
pH=

And "fine" is not a number.

I have a male GT and he's about 8 months old with a big hump on his head.. Stress, poor water quality and diet are the usual cause of the color fading in my experience. I had him on the 100 gal and his color wasn't as good. Then i moved him on my 135 with 2 syn and some geos, he just dominated the tank no nip though just little chase here and there and he would not let my syn breed. After a good month of feeding and constant water change his color just went from 4 to 9 in a scale of 1-10 and his hump grew.. i feed mine spirulina hiraki exel some massivore blood worms and tetra granules.
