Hi all,

These are my two male Goldsaums. Let me know what you think of them. They started off growing slowly, but recently have put on a lot of width and girth. One of them has got a more pronounced hump.

Nice fish!...how can u tell their gender when their young?b4 the lump develops....

When they are young it is a bit more tricky to sex them. Generally the most dominant fish in a group is the male. Look for pointy, slightly more elongated fins. As they grow you should see that the males have blue dots on the face, whilst the females have larger blue blotches, which is also sometimes referred to as a "blue beard'.
