Ever sence i saw a truck on 880 with a trippy tag painted on the back in 2005 I knew it had a meaning for me.
I have no idea what it meant to who ever put it there, but it had a primitive feel. it was a symbol taged on top of a super fancy one. like tyrannosaurus foot print in the middle of a Rembrandt. I painted several variations.
It wasnt until i started rescuing that i realised why i was so attracted to it. My friend got me a guy who could create a professional logo for my campaign. I had a deadline and couldnt come up with anything. Finally I dreamed I saw a giant Ganesha sitting on a flaming throne with the head of a puff, and instead of an elephants trunk he had a huge tail at the end was a hand held in the HALT position. the fingers fanned out into infinity as at the tip of each finger where more hands all open in the sign that in hindi means Shiva stands here.
This is a lame attempt at pizapping it up. Anyway, I woke up and tryed to recreate it as the logo, but it was way too complicated and wacko, but it got me to this

Notice the similarities. the crown and the dorsal fin, the funny protuberance and the tail, the arrows and the pectoral fins, the tank like box and the ring of fire.
I was listening to alot of Severed Heads in those days, and i realy liked the song Your Greater Reward, so i named the symbol after it.
Puff Cosmic Recoil is what i think happened the day i took Spike to the Walmart offices in San Bruno. Spike was an especialy mean and tiny puff who was close to death. He woke up and couldnt swallow that morning and i saw the look of fear and confusion in his eyes as he desperately tried to get a blood worm down. We got more and more frustrated and finally sat there hoplessly staring into space, trying to understand why this was happening. I thought I bet if one of those CEOs could see poor Spike trying to eat a worm, they'd stop selling puffs that
day.
Then I thought THATS IT!
I gathered Spike up in the Evacuation Shuttle and off we went. I had no idea what I was doing there as we walked up to the big glass doors. buy a lady saw me at the door and let me and Spike in with a warm Hey its the Fish Lady! We were expecting you! and took us right to the receptionist and told her, She has an appointment!
I was in shock. I had no idea that we would get in. I told her Spike is here to meet with whoever is responsible for him and millions of his kind to be brought here to die. He wants that person to see him because then he'll know whats been happening and quit.
I looked around and the lobby was silent. There was at least 20 suits who had stopped to watch us for the longest moment, they looked at Spike. And Spike looked back.
Security showed us out and Spike died that night in my lap in his pyrex cup that he used to eat in. He spent his last day on earth trying to help his others. He survived long enough to travel all the way around the globe to face his captors and look them in the eye. Then was when the first blow was struck.
Just like the shot of a gun we are in recoil. Like in my dream the Buddha Puff had said HALT. They are on their way, we have only to deliver the message.
