I have got two Hydrolycus scomberoides and one Hydrolycus tatauaia. I'm eventually going to put together a school of three H. scomberoides and two H. tatauaia. The growth is slow and steady for these fish. They are currently in a 75 gallon tall grow out tanks with a buffer school of silver dollars and are going to be moved into a 360 gallon when they are over 7-8 inches. The Hydrolycus tatauaia are the most aggressive out of the two species. Some clearer pictures tomorrow.

I grew a scomb to 10.3 inches so its gona be awhile for those scombs to be 8". With high filtration and lots of current and room to grow oh and let's not forget a healthy diet. Scombs can get a good size I feed all my payara baby cichlids and flattys. BTW really nice collection you have there. "Payara for life"

Thanks! I had two H. scomberoides in my 360 gallon before we moved off the ranch house and they were both 12 inches. This school is to replace the school that died when we move to the new house.

Here's a couple clearer pictures.

I just picked up another Hydrolycus scomberoides and Hydrolycus tatauaia. I think the five I have got is the maximum that will fit in the 75 gallon grow out tank.

For current I have got a Rio flow pump and the Payara and Silver Dollars are schooling together great in this arrangement.

Pictures tomorrow.

Here's some updated pictures of my school of five Payara. The pictures in the aquarium room are not as clear as I would prefer and am going to be working toward resolving the issue.
