Here's my little GT I got here a month or so ago. It's definitely putting on some size quick. I think it is a male. It's between 3-4". Either way, I'm liking it. Pics don't do it justice. Thoughts on its sex?

Nice looking gt. Does look female looking at the fins but thats not the best way to tell. Looks like "shes" either eating really well or shes ready to lay. You have another GT in the tank? possibly a male?

At any rate a nice GT indeed.

i also think female its too round to be a male... males at this size would be longer than round...

Hmmm.... Was hoping for male. Far as another GT in the tank, nope, "She" is it. "She" does it pretty well too. Probably better than some of the bigger fish in the tank. When I got her she was pretty skinny and within a week was starting to fatten up. Just feed hikari cichlid gold and a bit of massivore lately and she is starting to really like that a lot.

Great looking fish. I'd have to agree with the others, it looks female. Very round appearance.

Lovely looking lady! She looks a bit lonely, are you going to get her a man? :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

I don't know about getting her a man. At the rate she's going, growing, and glowing, she would be a great specimen to try and breed though. She's in a tank full of dudes already, but I don't think it is in my best interest to try and take up more space in the house with another tank. So I don't think I will get a dude for her, no. Thanks for all the comments! She's starting to hold her own in this tank though and chasing a couple of the salvini her size and even a bit bigger.

I'm hoping for a male on this one. Not the best pics I know, but I figured I would try posting this hopeful guy as well to see what yall think and get some guesses as to its gender. I know the fish is small yet, and I know that venting is the only way to know for sure, but either way figured I would pick yall's brains a bit. He's doing pretty well, and fattening up a bit. Taking a little bit of a beating from someone in the tank. Just the occasional fin tear. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks!
