Good day mates!

I have had 2 GTs(gold saums) last november. I placed them on separate tanks until this january. I had them now on the same tank(50gal) with a divider. I will get a new tank after maybe two months or so.

The problem i have seen is that the largest, shakes it's head sideways very quickly. I have seen him do this when he was like 2.5 in. Now it has been happening again, now a little to often when he sees the other GT. This GT is now at 4-4.5". I have tried water changes and some Methyl. Blue. I don't know if it's part of his "aggressive act" or maybe some disease or pest. I've seen him slide his body on the tank floor when he was smaller.

What's happening to him? It's stressful for me because he's my favorite fish.. :/ He has 3 Goldfish and a pleco with him.

cheers,
jk

bump?

ithink he likes the muci your playing on the outside. lol well man i mean it is natural to "What I Know" that cichlids do shake there heads cause my Texas does it and hes perfectly healthy, what are the params for the tank..... including Temp.....

My GT does the same thing all the time, so did my oscars as well. Its got to be a dominance thing because they seem to do it at other certain fish.
Seems totally normal to me.

Burt :)

@BigDaddyMagnum

I can't find param measuring device here in my location, been searching the locals for 2 years. :'(
That's why i closely observe all my fishies and write down noticeable changes. :D

I wish i can get some soon.

I'm in tropical country so i guess temp won't be a prob

btw, thanks, that made me feel better. :D

@ burt thanks for the info mate. :D
