I have 2 aquariums one for the parents and the other for the youngsters.
In the parents aquarium I have a moss I collected here in the wilderness in iceland and it grows very well

Nice, I keep mine in a 2,5 Gl tank and leave the young in with the parents.
I never separate them, it's a small tank but they don't eat the fry.
But they grow so slowly to be food for my other fish...
