My hands smelled like fishfood so I was a little precautious. After the pics he ate two rats of 300 grams each.

The Zoo in the woods behind my house, where I was yesterday.
They also have two huge Varanus albigularis.
Stunning.

Thenx both!
I'll post some recent pics of handling. You'll see his size better.
He ate one rat which the redtail left over, so now he ate 3 times 300 grams!
I think I'll feed him after his shedding in a couple of weeks. :D

Oh My God I want a zoo with a Rhino in the woods behind my house!

PS - Nice snakes!!

Thenx!

After the Zoo its so nice to come home to my own little Zoo, but this
Zoo is called "Dierenpark Amersfoort", and I'm a frequenter.

It used to be a kids Zoo (IMO), but nowadays they have a lot of playgrounds
and they mixed them in in such a way I feel quite at home.
Huge Indian elephant enclosure with a big bull. Hyenas, a pair of Indian rhinos,
boa's, savannah with among others common elands and Grevy's zebras, sturgeons, chimps,
Persian leopards, and so on. All in a beautiful forrest with a lot of bamboo.
Call it my backyard.
They should have more fish and herps tho.

:D I love Zoos. :D

very cool, love the savv.

do you still have your colombian tegu?

O yeah.
The other day when I wanted to clean his enclosure he went straight for my face.
I guess he's really a wildcaught. lol
He's about 60 cm now. 2'.

And the Haitian curlies (Leiocephallus schreibersii) had eggs, but it didnt worked out fine.
I red on a German site its hard to get them to eat anyway. They all die after haching.
But they keep on laying them eggs. Dunno what to do with 'em.
I have two males and three females.

The two common snappers grow like hell and one of em is pink (?)
I'll post some pics soon.

Trouble to feed the Pacific tree boa (Candoia carinata carinata), he hassnt eaten in a month now.
Im not too worried yet, but today I'll get him a live lizzard.
See what happens.
