Great looking Arowana and bio filter.

nice aro! is the only filtration the top side trickle?

Nice arowana.

I was looking for this type of filter. Do you have an online link where you got it from? It's not available here in Aus and would be interested to bring some in.

you can make it diy for cheap. its just like a sump or wet/dry trickle but on top of the tank
instead of being under it. a pump is used to feed the water into the sump or w/d which is
then returned through gravity feed. pretty easy to do. many people like to add pothos plant
on it to get the extra bio and for looks.

What is the advantage in having the filter sitting above as opposed to below the tank?

One of the main appeals is less head height on the pump, so you get away with a smaller pump. Ease of maintenance and less risk of flooding are also huge pluses.

Thanks for replying Mike but wouldn't a smaller pump mean a drop in flowrate and turnover time?...Also,it wouldn't be an issue with me since my tanks are in the basement but it would appear that aesthetics would be a concern for those who display their tanks on the main floor of their homes.

Large filter ...
About the Arowana- amazing!
