When I first posted Red vs Gold. I kinda lean more towards Erythrinus erythrinus. But thanks to you guys I learn more about this gold wolf and you guys are right I certainly will never regret it.

Just 1st day on my grow-out tank and they are so damn active and already ate MP! I was told that in the shipment they are around 9 pcs and only 4 survive overnight. 2 Jumped and 3 were killed. So I guys these guys right here are the toughest and with no single torn fin.

Here's some pic @ 4'

Here's gold dust on top.

This dude right here is the keeper. I have him reserved when the seller took a picture of him

red and gold wolves are surprisingly very good jumpers. Everytime when i do water changes my 4 inch red wolf always jumps high out of the water. Once it nearly smacked me in the face! Sadly, when my wolf jumps, it always manages to hit him self against the plastic sides of my tank and causes it skin to peel off. Imagine an 16 inch gold wolf jumping out of the water!

Make sure to have a tight fitting lid!

Thanks for the tip. That's the same thing the seller told me. I have some common angelfish in my daughter's tank with the wolf, there is still peace. Dunno for how long. Will be moving him on his own tank in the next coming days

Just 20gals at the moment. I have a newly submerged but treated driftwood so there is still some presence of tannins in the water. I kinda dig the natural look of the water. The funny thing is I intentionally put the drift wood for the wolf fish but it wound up being utilized by the angel fish round the clock!

I once had a wolf fish tell me that angel fish make tasty little treats. :)

Nice looking little wolf cub you got there!

That is what I thought and I told my 4yr old daughter that could happened since she owns the tank and the angelfishes and she is ok with it because she likes how the wolfie looks. Then after a few hours she got back to me and asked why her angelfishes are still alive haha! I'll check later what happened with the the cub's tankmates.
