my marble goby is currentlley hunting a gold gourami. it is funny to see him run around the tank trying to eat it. he usualy stays in one spot and boom eats em in one gulp.

Yeah they are very lazy fishes that do nothing but sleep and eat. Whenever i feed mine MP i have to use a net and push it right in front of its mouth before he eats it.

what is MP???

My last marbled was a lazy sob but come feeding time the booger would lunge fast, got my hand a few times thinking I had food.

I had a couple for about two or three years, ione got to be about 14 inches and the other abou 10 before I gave them to a friend. They are awesome fish. The only thing the bigger one would move for would be food or if the other one came over to his side of the tank.

Hiya reddevilslair, welcome to MFK.
Yours sound about right, lazy beggars. They move around a bit at night though, I was awaken one nigth by splashing and knocking noises and found that a marbled goby around 14" had swallowed the heater right up to the water line, I guess he liked the flickering light. I had to reach in and slide him off it.

Lol... that must have been funny.... the only time my goby moved was when i was on the com late in the night and i heard this splashing sound and a loud "splat". I went over and saw him lying on the floor below his tank.
