My Hybrid - double tail spine?

I've had my hybrid a little over a year. I've noticed that spikes have developed down his tail and it looks like he has two tail spines? Is this common? Is he supposed to shed his spine and grow a new one?

Perfectly normal. My male had two for a while then lost one.

When they shed...the new comes in and then the old one falls off.. make sure you find the old one when he is back to one.

I thought that's a normal phenomenon when a new one grows in. Both my male motoros have it and it's their first shed. Been waiting for them to shed completely
