Hi everyone. My first post in here. This forum was recommended to me by Rakie during a discussion over on the tarantula forum where I'm a mod (tarantulas.us).
I've been keeping smallish cichlids off & on for 15 years or so (mostly "on"). I've had my own home for a couple of years now with a huge finish-able basement where I'm building my "man-zone" (no offense ladies, it's more of a workshop where things are safe from my kids). What "man-zone" would be complete without a monster tank right? I'm using cinder-block furniture in there, kind of an "industrial" look as stands for my 30 gal feeder roach colony & 55. Upstairs in my conservatory/the spider room, I have a 55 species tank with P. saulosi (dwarf mbuna). At work I've got a 21 gal via aqua I'm using as a planted tank, and the MZ 55 now contains a pair of firemouths & 2 juvie trimacs (M & F I believe). Right now the fm's rule the tank as they gang up on the tri's. My plan is to eventually move the tri's to a 265-300 gal on a cinder-block stand in the next year or so along with maybe a trio of oscars, maybe the FM's too, or let 'em keep the 55. Any advice/recommendations on this? I've been lurking in here for quite a while, reading hundreds and hundreds of posts a day. I'll post pics whe I can. Thanks all!!
