my irwini never moves

In front of my tanks
i wanted a irwini for the longest time i finally got one its about 7"i've had it for a little over a month but the thing always hides i no where it hides and can see it but seems like it never leaves that spot a few times at the middle of the night it would be out i never see it eat or anything is this normal

possibly try moonlight type (subdued) lighting till he gets relaxed in his new home!!!:)
 
my tank is not that bright as is all i'm runnig is 2 4' floresents but i have bogwood tinge so the browness of the water keeps it a little darker
 
Mine does pretty much the same thing. He'll just pick a spot, not necessarily always hidden, but he pretty much just lays there motionless.
 
Yeah Mine does it to. He just comes out at night to feed but I can alos get him to eat when the lights are on. They say once they get bigger they become more active I could be wrong

These fish really just do not move or do much.
