The Grotto
I just upgraded these two into a 55 divided for the time being. male is 5.5"+ female 4.5"+ i put them in 55 a few days ago and it seems like the male put on almost an inch since. I really enjoy this species:) deffinately a fish to have in any show room. And these two will remain divided, im not taking any chanced plus i want them to stay flawless.

Great looking pair. Keep them divided! She will start to glow when she's ready. If the male looks interested at that time try to put them together. If and when they spawn divide them again and leave the eggs with the female. Good luck with them they are awesome.
 
Thank you every one. these are the reds. The first couple of months the female colored up for male and he is constantly at the divider trying to get to her. so i pulled it on two occasions to see. the first occasion the female was a lil bigger and she was taking scales off him while he just posed for her. the second time was when i moved them into 55 and male was bigger. he showed alot of interest and she submitted but talk about tough lovin, its like edward scissor hands trying to be gentle:)LOL... so ill keep trying but no unsuprivised visits.

Thank you guys... I really need to get a good camera and set up to get better pics. I am amazed at how beautiful these fish really are. Im glad that i made room for this species. the male is gonna be awesome. I thank Joe for making this happen.
