So i have to jade gobies in a growout tank 30 gallons. One keeps chasing the other and wont stop. What should i do. I'm going to be setting up my 55 i just picked up in a about 2 weeks i hope. Do they do good together or should i think about relocating him somewhere else?

One per tank. It will only get worse if you keep them together. I've been keeping sleeper gobies for a long time, trust me.

Ok just wanted to make sure cuz the lfs said they would be ok with each other and they seemed fine until a lil while ago. I did notice that they stay on seperate sides of the tank.

What could i put with him after i give the other one away. When they go in the 55 they will be housed with a small pike and palmas bichir. Would a mosaic gar be ok?

There are always exceptions to the rule but I wouldn't risk it. Two might work for you one time but nine times for me it won't.

At the LFS they usually seem fine because they have enough of them in a tank to spread the aggression out.

They get around 12" though, so be prepared to upgrade even if you only have one.

I'm going to be giving the goby to my finaces father cuz he likes them so that will happen tomar. Ideas on what i could replace him with. Like a false gar like a mosaic or something else?

Those tankmate should be fine. One of my Jade Goby's ate a Silver Needlenose (7" goby, 6" needle nose, not a pretty sight) but I think the coloration of the Mosaic should help it not get eaten.

Bichirs are generally great tank mates. Goby might nip at them if they go towards his territory but will never eat them.

When you say pike do you mean cichlid? If so the pike cichlid might harass the Jade Goby, just keep an eye on it - the Goby is easily bullied.

Then they might be eaten unless they scare him.
