i have a jag thats around 20cm long in 6x2x2.5. i done a large water change yesterday, but nothing out of the ordinary. a couple of hours later i noticed he wasnt acting himself and was just hiding in his cave and looking a little ill.

i thought it was may be because he hadnt been fed in the morning so i put some food in and he ate very little. This is very unusual for him as usually he is an absolute pig and will sit at the top of the tank and eat everything i put in until he cant fit anymore.

Over night he seem to be looking a little better but still has no appetite.

Somethings not right.
Ph was around 7.4 but is now neutral.
ammonia, nitrite and nitrate tests are all clear
water temp is around 25 degrees. i just realised so im about to turn it up

what else can i do??

firs toff by large water change what do you mean, 40%, 50% or more?....Why the large water change instead of the normal water change?...A 7.4 to a 7.0 change overnight change is there any reason e.g. added something to the tank?..And second of all why is there no nitrates?...has your tank cycled properly?

i usually do a 50 percent water change maybe a little more. Since i set the tank up ive had small floating particles in the water and ive been doing some larger changes to try to remove anything that may be still coming out of the gravel.

I used ph down that came with the test kit to lower the ph level.

the tank has been running for the last 2-3 months or so and has been fully cycled.

all the other fish in the tank are fine. i have a texas large bristle nose, sailfin pleco, convict and jack demsey. and all are fine.

I have a good sized sump filter withe sponge, japanese filter matting, bioballs, pot scrubbies, matrix and purigen in it and also an Fx5 filled with matrix
