my jags got their groove on, oh yea...

When they start to bother the parents from nipping and eating the mucus. I would not move them too early because it might trigger the male to try and breed again when the female is not ready and in most cases you'll end up with a dead or beat up female.

thats what iwas thinking to move them when their freeswimming. other then that my jags have been a pair for awhile, they would always swim with eachother and fend off the other fish in my tank together, but just laid eggs today, i have a divinder seperteing them i put it in last nite cuz i noticed the jags tubes where sticking out like crazy, and when whenever they would go in the clay pot my flowerhorn would rush them. so thats that

I moved mine when they were free szwimming yesterday over to my growout tanks. They were free swimming with the Parents for about 5-7 days and then moved them over. Now my male is already trying to mate with the female again by mouthing her and pushing her around a little but not very aggressive as my male Jag is tame towards his female.
