My Jaguar cichlid is really ugly

Hi Guys,
Around 1 year ago I bought some very tiny Jaguar cichlids, I was really interested in keeping those fish because of lots of very beautiful pictures of these cichlids I saw in the Internet. But my fish are really ugly, below are some pictures of the bigger one which I guess is a male:





It looks nothing like the photos I saw online before I bought them (below some random pictures from google image that shows what I was expecting):






Will my jags ever get to be like the photos above after they are older? Or are they just ugly?

Well to be fair, your jaguar cichlid is female. The photos of the jaguar cichlids you like are males.

To be honest, your chubby looking female jaguar is kind of cute. I bet she's a glutton!

The two online pics are males, yours is a female. That's why it doesn't look like the online pics.

Well I guess that explains why this fish is really placid, naver had any problems regarding aggression.

Below are photos for the other two jags, these are much smaller than the other although they have the same age and all of them eat a lot:



I guess these are females too?

Any idea why the difference in size?

Those both appear female as well and the bottom one looks to have a mouth issue. The size difference could be genetic or hierarchy related.

Yes, those are females too.

That's one of the worst mouth deformities I've ever seen on a jaguar, almost as bad as a blood parrot lol

lol yeah these two are really ugly deformed jags, worst of all is that I do not have courage to just get rid of them, so Im stuck with it

Yeah, good chance that no one will ever love her if you get rid of her. You should keep her

Female jags are underrated.....there was a time I thought of getting rid of mine...now.....forget it!!!......
