He never really colours up too much as he is the underdog in my community. I have had him about 2 years now and he is around the 12" mark

That's a nice looking Managuense. How big was he when you got him? And how does your emperor cichlid get along with the other inhabitants?

He is just a cruise artist and never tries to hold part of the aquaria as his territory which mirrors how they live in the wild as open water swimmers. What does surprise me is that although heavily piscivorous in the wild he isnt a big fish eater but prefers the pellets.
