the fish has heaps of room it is in a 5 foot by 18 by 20 high , the fish is only about 40 cm

5 foot , by 18 inch wide by 20 inch high enough for him , he is about 40 cm just abit over\

upgrading to a 6 foot soon

That's fine, it just looked cramped being in a divided tank with two turtles a P-Bass and GT. I'm sure your eager to get that 6 foot tank.
