Hey mfkr s
Here's two pics of my jardini I've had him about 4 years .he has been in a 2m tank for about a year and I'm busy with a 2.6X80cm (w)55cm (h) at the moment . Water changes are done once a month and top ups are done with R.O water .he only eats crickets spiders etc and a tiger barb or 2 (in tank already )when he can catch them .id guess it's about 45cm plus at the moment .
Cheers comments are welcome

is that tiger barbs doesnt your jardini eat them? and ur jardini is beautiful i hope my jar will get that big

Awesome!

You should be doing more than once a month water changes.. a 4 year old Jardini only reaching 17" is pretty sad..

This is incorrect as Jardinis are slow grower after a certain lengh as mine has not grown much since it hit 18in 2yrs ago and I change my water once a week

Oh do please enlighten me on a Jardini's growth. Jardini's will slow down in growth as they get larger(18"+).. but not to the point where it grows as little as 1cm a month.I guess that means my buddies Jardini growing from 3" to 14" in a year is too fast? A normal Jardini should be at least 12" at a year old. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhYjsbhvggo&feature=related Take this for example.

If your Jardini isn't growing past 18" in the past 2 years, it's stunted. And how much water do you change out one a week?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Tf2iR6B8eg This fish in this video is 5 years old. It is AT LEAST 24"-25". I'm willing to bet its at least 27".

Regardless of what is correct or incorrect it is a beautiful fish. I can only hope mine looks like that in the future.
