What I think and what I should say are two totally different things....lol.

Lookin great though, very crisp patterns and what not. You should broaden your scope though, get away from the normal cichlids, branch out and try the other species! ;)
 
hes about 5''

and what do you mean by branch out and try other cichlids
i would like a 5-6'' oscar
but im not sure if it would work

There are so many different SA/CA cichlids out there, your barely even scratching the surface!! What I mean is try new species, get rid of the bread and butter, take risks. Try different Amphilophus species, different Vieja, Crenicichla, Satanoperca...oh man, the list goes on!!
 
i got this jd in a rescue
i will not let it go at all
if i do it will be going to a home i know that will be taken care of
as far as other cichlid go
what do you think of the jd and an oscar

Has worked fine for me many many times. I think your j.d. is a beautifl fish. I like the mature looking jd's over small ones any day! Good job on the rescue too.
