I love the big ol bruiser JD's,i once grew 1 out to 8" but then it went beserk and killed a few of its tankmates so i got rid of it.

mine lived with a severum twice his size for more than two months without a single incident and then one day when i came home from work both the sev's eyes were pulled almost completely out of their sockets and he didnt make it, but to me thats part of the allure of JD's. there a bad@$$ fish in sort of a small package as far as ca/sa cichlids go
