Those are some beautiful fish. And how'd you get them not to tear each other up? I've heard the group dynamic is different when there are several than when there are two but I've kept several together and there was fighting.

How big is the tank?

those are very nice, what else is in the tank?

funny you should ask about the fighting, as the two largest ones obviously got into it a week ago, both of them have wounds right above their mouths. I'm considering getting rid of the one that isn't as nicely colored. Right now they are in a 55 gallon, two 4 inch males, a smaller male, and a small female. Also 2 firemouths, a 2 inch green terror and a new 3 inch gibbiceps pleco i just bought today. I also have a 55 gallon with a six inch red devil and common pleco. thanks for the feedback

Group dynamics and overstocking can be a powerful ally when keeping aggressives. I have my 6" "Blue Gene" Jack Dempsey in my 110 with fish as small as 2in Yellow Labs. . . keep them guessing I always say :)

That tank could use a scrub though. . .
Nice male.

thanks for all the compliments guys...i'm still pretty new to the hobby, it's nice to hear good feedback. I also just want to say how awesome this website is, and how helpful and supportive everyone has been, everytime i need advice i get it. thanks monsterfishkeepers
