My Jumbo Clown Loach "GLOWS"

I've been trying to get my loaches and datnoids accustomed to brighter lighting lately with a timer set to 7hr periods. One of them has starting to lose much of the typical blotching, dulling colors typical with jumbo sized loaches and instead gained a brighter "glow". These photos were taken without flash on my iphone.

I'm sure members will say this is normal, common coloring or a different variation of the species, but I'm just sharing because it looks cool.

It's called graying out. It happens with big clowns sometimes. Do they have a hiding spot like a PVC pipe?

No hiding spots, they are very active, playful, and are aggressive eaters nevertheless. Hope the graying out lasts longer, and more often.

100% massivore. But, I realize variety is important, but no time.

they need some kind of substrate, plants, and decor or driftwood for them to hide in...
Or else they will become discolored.
