The last couple of days, my juruense has been laying on its side, almost on its dorsal surface sometimes. It lays against the side glass a lot, so it's not especially weird, but I'm still worried. It lost its streamer so it's probably getting picked on a little, but it doesn't seem to be beat up at all other than that. However, I didn't want to take any chances, so I put it in a small tank by itself yesterday and it's already growing back and it's laying on the bottom on its ventral surface now, like normal. Has anyone experienced this as a commonality or is this something I need to worry about more?

Not sure does the tank have any current in it has it been eating we'll

Bump for a better answer

It hasn't been eating QUITE as well, but it still eats. It usually resides in a 40 breeder w/ an AC70 and P350, so there is a good bit of current.

Mine has not done that once that I've seen. Does his tripod stance on the floor or on a big sword leaf.

Okay, everyone, I need some more help. The jur came out of it and was doing very well again, but someone beat it up again. I removed what I thought to be the most likely candidate and it healed up and got its streamer back. Then, it got beat up again. I moved it into a 10g and it's not looking good at all. Its tail is split in two places and there's a red spot on its head. It will swim upside down and lay on its side. I figured it would be dead when I woke up, but it was swimming around on its side when I checked on it this morning. It is all by itself in a 10 gallon w/a 125gal-rated sponge filter and a Top Fin 10. I added some salt, pima and mela. What else should I do? It's not eating much at all now.

My marbled pim also had someone bite off a piece of its tail when it was in w/ the jur, but I put all the fish besides it in my 75, so it's in the 40 breeder all by itself now.

What did you have in with them?
The one I took out first was a marbled goby. The only one left for a couple days was an Indo Tiger and it grew its streamer back. Then, I put in 2 small pike cichlids and a small eartheater and it got beat up. I'm pretty sure it was the goby the first time (and w/ the pim) and one of the pikes the second time. I'm just going to leave it in the 10 till it outgrows it or put it in the 20 w/ the baby black aro once it heals up a little until it outgrows that. I hope it will be okay. I think if it hasn't died by now, it will make it as long as it doesn't get beat up or stressed out again.

sounds like stress but if it was it should be back to normal being in its own tank

Best of luck hope it comes around

still alive this evening but still acting very weird. it's starting to look like it might have parasites, so I put in some Jungle Parasite cure.

laying on its side again this morning still alive.
