my juvie cichla is scratching his @$$

two days ago i noticed one of my juvie intermedia has a wound on the exact spot on both sides of his tail and hes constantly trying to scratch it to the extent that hes doing backflips and cartwheels all over the tank. so far ive added extra aquarium salt and did a small waterchange, the wounds are healing up pretty quickly but hes still scratching himself nonstop. what do you guys think it is? could he have parasite?

Yeah,it sounds like it's got a parasite of some sort.

im narrowing it down to bacterial infection, the wounds look like greyish colored sores. i just dosed the tank with furan-2, hopefully the lil guy will kick the infection pretty fast.

Good luck! I hope the meds don't prove to be too much for baby bass to handle,I've lost young fish in the past due to medication.
