My K1 Moving Bed Filter

i got some k1 media off of ebay
then i went to the gas station to get a 1 liter soda bottle
i drilled a hole in the cap big enough for an air hose
drilled some holes in the bottom of the soda bottle
drilled 2 holes in the side of the soda bottle for suction cups to stick to the glass
then i put it all together and put the air hose though the cap and stuck it to the glass
and thats it
it was perty simple to make

hey you need to drill two or three hole in the top by the lid so water goes through the bottle easily
how is the filter doing?
I made my own with Hel-X media also found on ebay some slight diffrences but same idea , so have you noticed a diffrence? I have noticed one my water stays clearer i also have a 125 gal tank

nice filter i like the idea with the sponge
i have not noticed a difference in my water quality i have only had it running for 3 days now
I think you left out an important step.
Drink the soda before you drill the holes. :j/k:
