The day has finally arrived. I am a now a first time cichla owner. :headbang2 I just got 4 Kelberi Peacock Bass this morning. Dropped off by the Fedex guy that was nice enough to say "I kept these bad boys in the cab with me on the drive out here so they stayed nice and warm for you" That was way cool of him.

Thank you petsolutions.com their service, willingness to ship them on the day requested so I could get them on a Saturday, and their packaging were amazing. And thanks shelbybmc for posting about his Kelberi so I could find a good source to get some.

Just got them acclimated and in the quarantine tank. Here is a pic, not very good but I am going to leave the lights off for a while to let them stay calm and get used to new environment.

Glad to hear they all arrived good :) My fedex driver is cool too! They def look like they are from the same batch. They are smaller than mine because they were fed feeders at petsolutions. Get them on frozen blood worms then do the crush & mix method. It worked for me within a couple weeks. Once they start eating the BW start cutting the frozen cube in pellet size pieces and drop them in that way. then thaw out a hole tray and cursh up your pellet of choice and mix it in. Re freeze the mixture in cubes again and they will star eating them. Keep trying pellets here and there and bam they will take them eventually.

Sounds like a good game plan. Definitely how I will try it. Thanks!

There plenty of other methods, I just took Gangsters idea and put my own little twist on it. Good Luck & keep us updated :)
