I don't really know , he seemed to just be slowing down , I had switched his food from Omega one to hikari gold to try to get his color to come around but I don't think that had much to do with it , just old I guess he was about 8 years old. I wish i had taken a pic with a measuring tape , I'm guessing he was about 141/2 to 15 "

yeah now I have an empty 125 save for a couple of little jewel cichlids to keep the bacteria going , thinking jag or maybe dovii or another amphilophus

I'd say amph or female jag. Male dovii or jag get too long IMO for the with on a 125
