I realized I haven't put any pics of Mr. Ed on here so here he is! He's a desert iguana and is missing two toes and has some nasty scars but is the sweetest lizard ever. Within an hour of catching him he was sitting on my shoulder while I walked around camp. Also in the one pic he is with Willy the whiptail who is his little buddy. They seem to be getting along and willy even uses Ed as a basking spot. Sorry about the dirty tank, willy is professional mess maker and seems to enjoy burrowing down in Ed's food dish and then exploding out of it dragging lettuce and veggies everywhere:P Enjoy!

Me too. They are a bit like owning a little dinosaur. I will say though that chuckwallas are even more fun since they aren't as spastic, but even with him being a total spazz I still love him to death. Here he is eating some lettuce this morning. I will be either buying or making some fake rock shelfs and ledges for him to perch on that have lots of cracks for the whiptail too so they can eat up high which they both seem to prefer.

Ya uros are the bomb. I keep thinking maybe that's next for me after keeping chucks and this desert ig. I'd love a nice Moroccan or Algerian, but me and their price tags dont get along. Maybe if i could find a baby banded or mali for cheap sometime it could find its way to my collection:D I only keep one non desert reptile and he takes at least 5x the maintenance due to humidity needs and that causing problems with mold and I even had an issue with my lid rusting on the tank:P now my beardie (who is for sure desert) I've had for almost 8 years now has never caused a single major problem maintenance wise:D

He's just enjoying life today. After discovering that carrots are yummy when grated (and eating 3 grated baby carrots) he is chilling in the back and watchin the whiptail run laps chasing a grasshopper I caught this morning

if you get one go all out and get a U.Philbyi they are worth the $200

If I was to get a Uro I'd love an orange benti or true moroccan. A lowlands banded would be pretty BA too though. Maybe in the future I can get a pair of them. Ive been looking at either uros or some of the rarer agamids like egyptian clowns or southern trees for my next thing. That is if I don't find a breeder letting go of a pair of sheltopusik or galliwasps. Or even a single arboreal alligator lizard to complete my monster reptile collection. I have a decent list of things to own and uros arent quite top of the list.
