I did a huge clean/rescape on my 100G planted tank today. I tore out literally everything and gave the substrate a good siphoning plus I added 2 more bags of EcoComplete to darken it up. Im also adding pressurized CO2 the end of the week.

Here is where I began...an overgrown low tech neglected mess::WHOA:

Out came the plants and hardscape:

Wound up with 2 20gallon toes worth of plants.

After I finished up the substrate I added the new hardscape...thanks to TheDriftWoodStore.com and some locally collected rocks.

Then back went some of the plants. I have some vals planted along the back glass but they are still pretty small.

Probably 4 square feet of fern

Two barbels up for the fresh clean tank and the rescape?

I like the look of that tank!

looks awesome

As good as the end result looks it's almost a shame that nice nice wood is hidden from view.

Thanks all! Most of the spare plants will go into my 150G cichlid tank as most of what I have left is large anubias. Funny when most say that cichlids cannot be kept with plants...mine have never bothered them.
