Petsmart brought in their new shipment today and only two rams were left, I had to have them :).

So happy, Petsmart is my only LFS, never thought I would get Rams.

Very nice! I love Rams, they were one of the first fish I ever breed and have loved them ever since. Keep the temp up and the water clean! Treat them like Discus.

My rams have laid one clutch so far since I added the male about a month ago. My temp is at 82 all the time. I feed them new life spectrum cichlid formula 1mm pellets. They are pretty high in protein which is good for breeding so I've read. They get other foods also. I keep their water nice and clean. They never showed any interest in spawning before, and I did about a 20% water change last Sunday, added some Prime for the first time (I also use stress coat) and presto! Two days later...eggs. Lol. I have photos and videos on a thread if you'd like to check it out. I ADORE my GBR's they are so awesome!! Congrats on your pair and good luck!!

No they don't. They do a courting and cleaning of the spot they've picked to lay their eggs on. Do you have a Betta by any chance in the tank with them? They make bubble nests. They would probably also eat any babies. I think.
 
i dont think you'll be doing much breading, you have two ladies there...
