Yes... a piece of kale on a plate, in the tank overnight will have snails all over it. A few trys and virtually no snails.
Here's how not to do it with pygos in the tank....

.....Don't get lazy and try to use a water glass, just because it's easier to pick up and will hold the snails in.
.....Don't be like me and do a water change, just because you're arm get's less wet.
....Don't forget a water change will keep your pygos spooky for a short period. As will the glass with salad(that they don't quite appreciate being there).
....Don't let your kids slam the freakin door !!!

So my reasoning is such because of this mornings happenstance....I woke to find the kale loaded with snails. I'm thinking "cool this is to easy". I decide to wait for the kids to leave for school before I start messing with the tank again. As I wish them a good day at school, they head out the door and as usual they slam the door with a finality like they're never comming back. Well, between the jingle janglies on the doornob and the sonic boom of the door closing the fish go into a frenzy.....They're flying back and forth, banging off of the tank. I'm thinking sure enough the hour I spent re-arranging plants is blown, and it was. Then it happened...The largest red which is about 3.5" hit the inside of the glass at full speed. I'm like stunned... and I didn't notice that the kale had moved over the opening. So I'm watching and waiting for him to come out. As you can remember I did a water change... added to them what should be called an intruder...and have lumberjacks for kids. So the fish is skittish... and he has a piece of kale which he's not friends with blocking his retreat. So he chooses the other end which is the bottom of the glass....and procedes to bounce off the bottom and the sides at a rate that would have made a bellringer smile. Glad to say, after removing the kale and collecting his wits he swam back to his buddies !
